We Are Now Fully Open

We will be operating with a "Covidly Cautious" two metre format, ensuring that we have a very safe environment for our first customers. 

Our take-away service will continue as normal.

We feel on re-opening that takeaway food service will continue for the foreseeable future. We base this on the grounds that a good majority of people's reluctance and worry to initially be in more crowded environments and for those who do not frequent pubs regularly can still get selections off our menu regardless.(priced at a lower takeaway price as opposed to eat-in).

We are having to base our operation on an eat outside operation until told otherwise with regards to indoors. This works well but is dependant on weather (although we will have a fair amount of cover in the shaped of an open-side marquee).

If the go ahead to use the inside the pub comes into effect with a distance of the current two metre rule we can probably operate around 8-9 tables, which is cost effective (I know a lot of places insist it won't work for them), the big issue will be controlling traffic inside and outside the pub which we will have to look into in some detail.

Let's hope we still have some Summer to come, a touch of Alfresco dining might just be the thing to cheer us all up.

As you may already be aware, the Government has made it mandatory that pubs and restaurants opening from July 4th must take the name and telephone number of ONE person per party wishing to enter the pub. With this in mind, we've signed up to the 'Freedom20' customer visit tracking process, which links to the NHS track and trace service. This works by just ONE person per party using their phone to scan the QR code provided. A URL link will be sent to you asking you to provide your name and telephone number. You should then click 'Check in Now' which will provide you with the daily code. You will need to provide this code when you order drinks and/or food at the bar. The code will change daily. This means that in the unlikely event any of our customers test positive for COVID-19, this system will be able to contact all customers who were at the D&P on the same day. Please note the D&P will not have access to the details you provide when using this system. However, if nobody in your party has a phone which is able to scan the QR code, ONE person from that party will have to provide us with their name and telephone number. This will be kept securely here at the D&P for 21 days before being safely destroyed to comply with GDPR guidelines . Any person/party refusing to either use the Freedom20 system or provide contact details will regrettably be refused service.
